7: Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment, for it is an old one you have always had, right from the beginning. This commandment--to love one another--is the same message you heard before.
1 John 3:11
- This is the message we have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
Leviticus 19:18
- "Never seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
Mark 12:29
- Jesus replied, "The most important commandment is this: 'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord.
